Del Mar Mesa is a semi-rural residential community of 2,042 acres (8.26 km2)
just north of Carmel Country Highlands in northern San Diego, California. The
majority of the community was developed in the 2000's. Over 900 acres is
preserved open space protected habitat.
The community also has 10 miles of hiking, biking and riding trails. Minimum
lot size is half acre.
Del Mar Mesa is bordered to the north by South Carmel Valley and Pacific
Highlands Ranch and to the south by Los Peñasquitos Canyon and to the west by
Torrey Hills. SR-56 also called Ted Williams Parkway passes to the north of this
Housing options include Large, Estate-sized homes. The Preserve and Duck Pond
Ranch which are two of the most exclusive developments in the Carmel Valley area
are located in this neighborhood. The Fairmont Grand Del Mar, a luxury resort is
located in this part of Carmel Valley.
